2015 was not
that good for Bollywood in terms of business. It had one 300cr ,one 200cr
movie and only four other 100cr movies, which is very less compared to last few
years. Among the big stars no one could bring much business except for Salman Khan. There was
no movies from Amir Khan and Hrithik Roshan which was also a reason for such
cold response at ticket windows. But one good thing was in spite of having
lesser big releases some small movies performed really well. The year was
clearly divided in two halves where the first half was mostly ruled by small
budget films with strong content, the second half saw more bigger movies in
terms of production cost and star power. For obvious reasons the second half
was better in terms of Box office business.
